Information About Diamonds
The Greek word "adámas" means "invincible". Diamonds are the oldest gemstones and the hardest natural materials found on earth and can also be used for decorative purposes such as jewelry. Diamonds consist of crystallized carbon, which was formed millions of years ago in a crater of molten lava at very high heat (about 1250 °C) and high pressure (40-60 atmospheric pressure) at a depth of 150-200 km. Volcanic eruptions threw the crystals to the surface. Most diamonds are over 100 million years old.

What is a diamond certificate?
Diamonds are natural stones and each diamond has unique characteristics both inside and out. In addition to size and color, the natural properties inside a diamond determine its character. The value of a diamond depends on the combination of these properties.
To classify a diamond, the four most important characteristics, known as the Diamond 4C's, are used: colour, clarity, cut and carat. These qualities are evaluated by diamond professionals and often described in detail. This document is called a grader's report or diamond certificate. Diamond certificates are important because they show the value and quality of the diamond in your jewelry.
